Growing Older, Growing Sadder

As we progress through life we face many hardships that change who we are. These events that we face change us wether it be for the better or for the worst. Obviously as we continue through life we grow older, but what most of us realize is that as we grow older we grow sadder. Many events in our life leave a negative impact and its these memories that we remember the most.
Consider this for a second, when you imagine an elderly person do you picture them smiling? Probably not, as the media also portrays many old people in films and shows as either grumpy and wrinkly or wise and...wrinkly. But we all dont have to succumb to this inevitable pit of sadness. Though our bodies become older, our minds dont have to follow suit. We can maintain our youth in a variety of ways, and by doing so we can stay joyful and happy.

  1. Well the saying "ignorance is bliss" is somewhat true. When we grow older we gain more knowledge of the world so it seems ideal to be young and stupid. Nice analyzing, broface.
